The Society for Gay Studies and the Society for Lesbian Culture Studies of the National Taiwan University hosted in early June the fourth annual celebration of the Awakening Day for Gays and Lesbians. They also held a "Queer's Carnival" dancing party in the evening of June Fourth. More than three hundreds gays and lesbians attended the party. The party was a cheerful success and those in drag were praised by all. The Council of Laws and Regulations of the Ministry of Home Affairs recently passed the [Rules on the Physical and Psychiatric Treatment and Counseling for the Sexual Offenders].
